RPM Simulator
A signal generator that feeds crankshaft and camshaft sensor signals to an engine control unit on the bench, with speed, ramp and tooth pattern set from the app.

- Crank + cam channel; Hall (open-collector) or VR signal characteristic
- 30–8,000 rpm; ramp 0–20,000 rpm/s, live change
- 60-2 factory pattern; missing-tooth / N+1 / table patterns, up to 255 teeth
- Cranking scenario: cranking speed → idle, timings adjustable
- Per-channel polarity, phase and amplitude
- Stop button on the device, status LED
- Bluetooth; settings persist on the device; firmware updates from the app
- Signal generation only — no ECU test/validation claim
What it does
The RPM simulator feeds crankshaft and camshaft sensor signals to an engine control unit (ECU) on the bench without the vehicle's engine. The crank and cam channels are driven with Hall (open-collector) or VR (inductive) sensor characteristics; polarity, phase and amplitude are set per channel.
Speed, patterns and cranking
Speed is changed live in the 30–8,000 rpm range together with the ramp rate. The factory pattern is 60-2; missing-tooth crank, N+1 cam and table-type patterns are loaded from the app's library or defined as your own (up to 255 teeth per channel). The cranking scenario plays the transition from cranking speed to idle with one tap. The button on the device stops the signal; the LED shows the state.
App
Android app, Bluetooth link; settings persist on the device and device firmware is updated from the app.
Scope
The device only generates signals; it does not test or validate the ECU's behaviour. Library patterns are general references and have not been verified with any specific ECU.
